I've filled hundreds of notebooks over 20 years. Moleskines, Field Notes, whatever was closest when I needed to think. But I kept running into the same problem: ideas scattered everywhere, no system to track what mattered, and half-finished thoughts I'd forget about until it was too late.
So I made this as a thinking tool that works the way I actually work - messy, non-linear, always in progress.
How it works:
Each page has space for ideas, tasks, or whatever needs to land. The circles are simple:
- Empty = Not started
- Half shaded = In progress
- Full shaded = Done
No apps. No notifications. Just you figuring things out on paper before the world demands a finished version.
How I use it every day:
Every morning, I open it and write. Not "journaling" in the reflective sense. Just dumping what's in my head so I can see it clearly. Tasks, ideas, problems I'm trying to solve, questions I don't have answers to yet.
I date every page. Future me will want to know when I had that idea.
I leave space between thoughts because good ideas need room to breathe. I'll add to them later when something connects.
I draw more than I think I need to - a quick sketch beats three paragraphs of description.
And I review it every few weeks. The good stuff reveals itself over time.
This isn't about perfection. It's about having a place to think before you're ready. To start badly. To prove you can begin.
Specs:
- A6 size (fits in your bag, not your life)
- Dot grid pages
- Designed for messy thinking, not perfect productivity
- Made by someone who actually uses one every single day
If you're waiting to feel creative before you start making things, this is your reminder to stop waiting.
“This is an exceptional book by a bloke who has been waiting for the world to catch up to where his head is at”
“It took me four years to write this book — but the lessons inside took a lifetime of soul-searching, heartache, and honesty to uncover. I hope you enjoy it, and that somewhere in my journey, you find a small piece of your own.”
